She is a Stokes County local and a rising national celebrity. We're excited to hear what Niki brings to kids who are struggling with being victims of bullying.
June 18th 2018 - We are excited to announce yet another band of sisters to the event. Her World Can't Wait has been added to the lineup. It just keeps getting better. Also, GOC is partnering with D13 Music Events to reach out to more kids in our area. We are excited to step into this partnership.

May 18th 2018 - Beneath the Skin is officially partnered with GOC Winston-Salem for this event and is establishing a presence in North Carolina. Beneath The Skin, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in July 2015. In 2009 when Brittany was on tour with her husband’s band, Memphis May Fire, she had her first heartbreaking interaction with a fan. This young girl told Brittany her story of abandonment, self-harm, and drug abuse. Over the years, Brittany had many more encounters with teens and young adults telling her their stories of broken homes, isolation, and a lack of self-worth. Many also battled common struggles such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. Moved by these stories, Brittany knew an organization like Beneath The Skin needed to exist.
Beneath The Skin aims to improve mental health through peer to peer Mentoring to young women and providing resources and support to all.
Our vision is to create a world where no one struggles alone.

May 13th 2018 - The artists for the event have been officially announced and it is a spectacular one at that. This will be the place to be on September 22nd. The day of music will start with local young musicians performing. Young local talented guitarist and vocalist Rachel White of King NC will be up first with an acoustic performance.
Next rock out with Blaise and John, two local young teens with a passion for music.
Up next is Benjamin's Mantle, an awesome Christian Rock band from Greensboro, NC. This band is one not to miss. We've very blessed to have them in this line up.
Selfless Sunday is next coming to us from Charlotte NC. A mix of hard rock and metal infused with southern roots gives them their unique sound and style of their own. Their music and message will make for a life changing experience and we can't thank them enough for joining this event.
Finally to close out this lineup of exceptional talent, comes our feature band of the evening, Gold Frankincense & Myrrh coming all the way from Jacksonville Florida. With their very own style of music they created called Beautycore, these teenage sisters are well beyond their years musically and in depth of their message. They have toured with many of the greatest bands in Christian Rock music and are again this summer before coming to us here. This October they will be playing the Loud and Proud festival in Germany. Their latest single "Stuck in My Suicide" tore up Billboard for most requested on Christian Rock radio. Their message of hope and redemption for kids who are hurting, lost, and feeling alone make them a perfect fit for this event. While their music is hard, their message is timely and of the highest importance. Bring a kid who needs encouragement and they will leave recharged.
May 2nd 2018 - Guardians of the Children announces the Breaking the Chains of Silence event at Central Park Amphitheater in King NC. We have noticed in our work with kids that there are many teens and young adults struggling with day to day life. Issues such as bullying, self-esteem, depression, self-harm, and isolation are all too relevant to way too many of today's youth. We decided it was time to have a day where teens and kids of all ages can come together and leave their burdens behind for just a day and hopefully leave with a sense of peace and self worth they may not have had when they arrive. When planning this event, GOC reached out to recording artists GFM due to their talent and for their positive message of hope for a hurting generation. This event will begin at 2 PM with a family day of arts and crafts for kids of all ages at the park.
4 PM starts an afternoon of music of various styles.
7 PM GFM takes the stage to deliver their message through the art of Beautycore music. It will be loud and they will make us proud. Round up as many kids, teens, and young adults as you can, especially if they are struggling. They may just leave changed or at least have more peace than when they arrived. beneaththeskinonline.org
